Unfortunately, I think you're correct. I don't have the time nor the  
interest to contribute to it, and I don't see much commitment from  
the new maintainer, so the project has been in a hanging state for a  
while. The task list is pretty big (rewrite the parser in bison,  
etc...) and has never been tackled.
